ANSWERED uTorrent ip issue

dear staff,

the other day i noticed a strange issue when i was checking my torrent ip.

my real ip adress isXXXXXX; i am connected via castor which should have the ip XXXX. in emule, this ip adress is shown correctly.

in utorrent, checkmytorrentip shows that my ip adress is XXXXXXXXX

They had problems with some trackers blocking servers. They have explained that is related to their system for avoiding this. They have asked in the past that you not publish the IP-s involved in this forum. Perhaps you should remove them?

i didn't have problems connecting to the tracker.

do i understand correctly that the different ip adress is due to your circumvention measures?

Yes, 100% correct.

 

EDIT: of course we don't strictly need to "re-route" checkmytorrentip as well, but it was decided to do so for consistency and comfort.
