Verizon VPN and Torrent Issues

Recommended Posts

So I have been looking for an option that would allow me to maintain a good ratio with torrents. I know that some ISPs and definitely Verizon caps that upload. Thus a friend suggested I try AirVPN. I have now been trying to get this set up so that I gould at least get 100kbps upload speeds but with no luck. Currently the maximum I see is about 1-2kbps.

I have Verizon ISP and originally I had DNS leaks until I used the automatic fix method found here, http://www.dnsleaktest.com/how-to-fix-a-dns-leak.php . Also according to the site and uTorrent and Tixati the ports are properly forwarding.

I really do not know what I am missing here. Does anyone have any advice or has anyone seen this before?

Hello!

In order to let us provide a preliminary overview, can you please send us your client connection logs?

Kind regards

Hello!

The logs are fine.

The first thing you can try is a connection to a different port: maybe Verizon performs port shaping on outbound port 443 UDP. Please test connections to 53 UDP and 80 TCP to make a performance comparison test.

Kind regards
