Will using java reveal my true ip?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm using my iPhone to surf the web and I need java to log into some sites/start up accounts. If I am using java in safari am I revealing my true ip? I'm not using tor, only AirVPN through OpenVPN

Sorry I meant JavaScript. I went to www.oip.cc to check and I can't see anything there showing my true ip. If JavaScript is always on will it only show the VPN ip? Which browser should I be using for iPhone 5?

Hello!

No, with JavaScript alone it is not technically possible to enumerate a system network interfaces, so JavaScript is not harmful in this context and can't leak you real IP address.

Kind regards
