DNS Leak or Not?

Recommended Posts

I am very confused:

according to http://www.dnsleaktest.com/ i have no leak.

but when i go to: https://www.dns-oarc.net/oarc/services/dnsentropy to repeat the test, i can see dns servers of my ISP (!!) (right at the top, at the dns resolver test)

which one is it now, because i am a little paranoid :)

i don't think dns-oarc.net should be able to see the servers...

cheers!

Hello!

Correct, dns-oarc should not see your ISP DNS. You have a DNS leak. The fact that dnsleaktest does not detect this leak can imply that dns-oarc test is more accurate. We'll investigate and if it's the case we will recommend to test with dns-oarc, not with dnsleaktest. We are also launching our own service to test DNS and more, we're going to announce it very soon.

Kind regards

Airvpn failed terribly when I used this to test:

http://ip-check.info/?lang=en

Can airvpn do something about it?

Thanks. Later,

Hello!

The test is fully successful. That site will always claim nonsense if you are not connected to their service or TOR. Your post might be edited (no advertisements allowed in this forum).

Kind regards
