Yeah, that fixed me. All the servers are back. I couldn't connect through WireGuard though. I had to use openVPN. As long as that provides me the same protection though I'm fine.

Sorry to be a nuisance regarding this problem, but I need to get AirVPN working on my old Mac running High Sierra as soon as possible. I've been using Air VPN for many years now, and I've always been able to work out how to get things working correctly, but this has got me beat.

Harold99 in his posts above said that there was another version that would run on older Macs, but he didn't specify what version that was. I just assumed he meant Eddie 2.26.2, but that won't work either with High Sierra, I assume because High Sierra can't use Wireguard. In his other post he said he had to use openVPN, so am I correct in thinking that I will have to use something other than Eddie to achieve this. If so, can any member of the staff or community help me to understand how I can get an openVPN connection set up on my Mac running High Sierra.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me. This has been an unexpected problem that has just arisen in the last few weeks, and it will be another month-or-so before I can get a new Mac up and running, and I just need something to tide me over until then.

Hello!

You can consider Tunnelblick 3.8.8g: https://tunnelblick.net/downloadsDeprecated.html

Kind regards

Is that the only solution? That Tunnelblick page says there are serious security vulnerabilities when used with High Sierra.

Would Hummingbird used with OpenVPN work? I realise I'm asking rookie questions here, but in all my years using AirVPN all I had to do was use Eddie, and never had to consider other possibilities. Any help from someone would be appreciated.

Hello!

Just as there are by running High Sierra, which received the last security patches on 2020. If you are interested in security, first you should upgrade to a more modern system. High Sierra reached End of Life in 2020 and it suffers of critical vulnerabilities that are well known nowadays and that were never patched, we're sorry.

We're also sorry to inform you that Hummingbird, on Intel based Mac systems, requires macOS 10.14 Mojave or higher version.

Kind regards

Fair point.

In the meantime, until I can get a new Mac installed, I'd like to keep using Eddie 2.21.8 with the few servers remaining, which is better than nothing at this point, but now when I enter my password to open Eddie I am getting an error message saying 'Wrong password. Please retry.'

My password for using the Eddie app on my computer is obviously different from my account password, so I can still login here, but the Eddie app is now rejecting the password I've always used to open it. I have tried removing Eddie and reinstalling 2.21.8, so the old password won't work, but apart from the error message, it's not giving me an option to enter a new password. Is there any way I can do this?

Thanks.

Hello!

AirVPN account password is the same (web site, Eddie, AirVPN Suite...). Then you have your system account password, prompted by the system and necessary to let Eddie run another process with superuser privileges. Finally, you may have a Master Password (optional) to encrypt and decrypt the configuration file.

Kind regards
