Recommended Posts

How to solve the Port 443 leak issue when running VPN over Tor with Comodo

http://vpnetmon.webs.com/

Download this free program.

(1) Start Tor and the connect AirVPN via socks. (create new rule in Comodo it allow Port 443 so Tor runs)

(2) Run program vpnetmon.

(3) Click on opt button and click on browse button. Locate Firefox .exe file for button A1.

(4) Check “Contrl” button.

(5) Set “VP IP Start” to 10.

(6) Check paranoid modus if you want.

(7) save.

On main screen 1st IP is local LAN IP.

Second IP listed is AIRvpn Private IP and must be in GREEN. Green=OK. Not green=problem.

Text Box will say “VPN OK 10”

Ignore “dial-up vpn” button.

The Firefox icon now displayed on button A1.

(8) Click on Firefox Icon. *You must run FireFox via vpnetmon.*

If VPN disconnects vpnetmon kills FireFox (or other program) so it can’t establish new secure connection outside VPN and your real IP now protected.

Hello!

The problem is not related to the Comodo general rules published in our guide to prevent any leak.

The problem arises when it is necessary to connect over OpenVPN over TOR, in which case you need to authorize TCP packets to outbound port 443 (otherwise TOR can't work). In this case, if the VPN connection drops AND you're using a browser to connect to an https web site, Comodo will not prevent a new connection to that site.

Kind regards
