nullldata 0 Posted ... I just thought I would log my recent experience in trying to reconfigure my router running OpenWrt using an AirVPN OPVN file. Previously, I had IPV6 completely disabled and blocked on my router in several places, and AirVPN allowed this as long as I disabled IPV6 in the generated OVPN file. Sadly, it seems that this option no longer works, There doesn't appear to be anything in the config file that disables IPV6, or instructs the connection to use IPV4 only - which results in a lot of connections failing with: net_addr_v6_add: fde6:7a:7d20:122e::1032/64 dev tun0 sitnl_send: rtnl: generic error (-13): Permission denied Linux can't add IPv6 to interface tun0 The easy fix for me was to enable IPV6 everywhere on the router that had it disabled, however this should not be the solution. I would much prefer that the config generator did what I configured it to do... generate a valid file that uses IPv4 only. I probably won't check this post often, as my issue is fixed - I just wanted to log it here for anyone who ends up searching for an error like this. Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 10525 Posted ... Hello! Please note that OpenVPN 2.6 and higher versions (i.e. the OpenVPN version you meet on the servers) will push in any case IPv6 gateway, routes etc. Yes, we need to consider whether disabling the now misleading option completely on the CG. Kind regards 1 nullldata reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
nullldata 0 Posted ... Thank you for clarifying. Yes I agree, if it is now mandatory - it might be worth doing something - if only to save users a couple of hours troubleshooting Cheers! Quote Share this post Link to post
