ANSWERED Connection issues - Disconnection Loop / Stuck on "Connecting to (Server)"

Recommended Posts

Posted ... (edited)

Hello,

I am having issues connecting to any servers using AirVPN, windows 11. I've previously had no trouble with proton VPN or other services. Depending on the protocol used, I have one of two issues.

1. I connect to any server, and it either immediately disconnects and attempts reconnection, repeatedly.
2. I click connect, and it stays on the "connecting to (server) screen with no changes over time.

I have tried many (not all, there are many) of the protocols after googling and looking at these forums. TCP 443, TCP 80, a couple of the SSH protocols, and a handful of other protocols.. This is a fresh install. I am unable to do any modifications to my router as it is a t-mobile hotspot device which doesn't have any visible buttons or settings to do anything with internet.

I've attached a log file, maybe that can shed some light on what's going on?

Appreciate any help with this!

Edit:

I solved the issue by disabling a virtual port called 'zerotierone' on my computer. I don't know where it came from but I found it when I was poking around and disabling it has solved the issue. Hope this helps anyone who has a similar problem.

Hello!

ZeroTier One provides various virtual network functionalities so it may surely conflict with other VPN solutions.

Kind regards
