Eddie Outdated

Maybe it's just me, but I find it odd that Eddie has not been updated in over a year.  Version 2.24.6 was release January 8th 2025.  That's over a year.  There's not even been an experimental version released since then.  Should we be concerned that Eddie is coming stagnant?

Yes I think so.  My subscription is up in a year if no meaningful updates by then i'm gone. 

As an example my icon bar at the bottom of the screen (windows 11), I am always clicking on the eddie icon and getting the message "eddie is already open" so I need to go to the sys tray and right click the eddie icon there and go to open main window.  Its a small issue but its irritating, the icon bar, eddie icon should open the eddie main window, not give you useless information.

Ive got other issues with airvpn/eddie but its a why bother at this point, ive gone through their "contact us" button for issues with no reply.

Eddie Desktop edition development is active and new versions will come out in the near future.

This is a correct behavior: by default two instances of Eddie can't run concurrently and you are trying to run two Eddie programs at the same time. You could force Eddie to manage multiple instances but don't do it unless you know exactly what you're doing.

From your description it's clear that Eddie starts minimized. In this case you can bring up Eddie's main window by clicking or double-clicking its tray icon in the system tray. Once Eddie's main window is visible, you can modify this behavior in "Preferences" > "UI" window so that Eddie will not start minimized. By default Eddie does not start minimized so you have changed the option "Start minimized" already. Uncheck the tick box of this item and click "Save" to go back to the default behavior.

Your last ticket was posted in 2024. All of your tickets have been processed and all the replies include an immediate solution to the problems that each time you experienced (most of the times caused by yourself, honestly...). If you can't read the courtesy e-mail you can consult your ticket section in your AirVPN account "Client Area" > "Support request" > "View all" to verify. Please stop flaming in public, especially under the pretext of false information.
