Pff. Point your finger at yourself first, always, because Taiwan works. Maybe start with some info on your setup, maybe logs, too.

If all other not working, then my setup could be wrong but the reality is:

Most VPNs works on my Ubuntu.

Could you please check whether you can reach the Wireguard port in the first place?

$ nc -zvw3 sulafat.airservers.org 1637

If nc is not there or you get errors about unknown options, install netcat-traditional:

# apt-get install netcat-traditional
