How to basic configuring Eddie + qBitorrent ?

Hello !

I'm in France, using a VPN for the first time, on just onc PC (Win11) to DL with qBitorrent.

What I did (please tell me if it’s correct or if I forgot anything important, finally I’m not 100% sure I’m protected)  :

1) Choosed Eddie as Network interface :


 
2) Choosed a random port (hmm, not really 9355 ;) Do I let the case Use UPnP... checked ?

 

And set the same port in my page https://airvpn.org/ports/ :

Questions :

 

1)      I read that I have to link QB with the IP of my VPN.

Where do I find the value of this IP ?

Then, where in QB i set it ? In my first print screen above "Optionnal IP address to bind to" ?

 

2)      I’ve been to https://www.top10vpn.com/tools/do-i-leak/ and

 

-          "VPN Leak Test" shows a DNS leak. Is it an issue, for torrenting ?

-          "Torrent IP Leak Test" : I installed the 4 magnet Magnet Link in QB, where they doesn’t download :

Why are they not detected ??

 

3)      When AirVPN is connected (to Swiss), my Downloads with FileZilla are really slow, is it linked with my other problems ?

 

4)      Last, but not least : I can download with QB, but I’m not sure that I can seed. And they remain as Stalled & Stalled Uploading. (but not Stalled Downloading).

 

Why ?

 

Thank you for you answers. I read many things on the net related to this, but it’s really toooo technic, or lack of explanation, like « go in QB and set the IP address of your VPN ». Great ! but how to do this ??

From what I can decipher through the "blur", you forwarded a 5-digit port while you set port 9355 in the torrent client. As such, they are not the same, and no one can reach your client.

You don't need that if you bound qB to the interface.

For torrenting, no.

They are not meant to be downloaded, but they are meant to contact the tracker in the magnet link. This is not working, probably because your forwarded port is not the qB port, see above.

Not really. Try different servers, ports and protocols to find the best combination for you.

Same problem as above, forwarded port != qB port.
