zhangch777 0 Posted ... Starting this month, my Windows connection to a US server has been limited to just 1 Mbps, while my MacBook achieves 200 Mbps. Both devices connect to the same server using the same protocol(OpenVPN) and port, with all settings left at their defaults. Can you offer any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? I'm using the latest version of Eddie. Quote Share this post Link to post

Anyway, for Windows I usually recommend optimizing the network stack based on your connection. I always refer to SpeedGuide's TCP Optimizer for this, it's a tool which doesn't need to be installed, just ran as admin. In the General Settings tab, you set the slider to your internet's connection speed and select your network interface in the middle (the active one is generally chosen automatically, but if you use both WiFi and ethernet, both may be set this way in succession). In the bottom right you select Optimal, then click the Apply changes button. A reboot later and you may or may not be surprised at how much quicker your connection is.
