FPyro 2 Posted ... Hi! Seeing Airvpn and vpns in general grow at such a rapid rate, I'm getting somewhat worried. Won't the laws protecting privacy and VPNs change, so that either the service in itself may become illegal or logging may be forced? With surveillance increasing overall, not only online, won't the risks increase for such services to get more attention? What can the innocent customer do? I can't imagine that there aren't some corrupt politicians already plotting against vpns... Or is there nothing that would indicate such a development, and I need not be concerned. (I was thinking about subscribing for 12months too...) Thank you <3 Quote Share this post Link to post

Thank you Hello!Currently there's no worrying indication in the new drafted data protection legal framework in the EU, while on the contrary the data retention implementation has significantly shrunk due to the implementation rejection for reasons of constitutional incompatibilities and/or violation of fundamental rights in various EU Member States (see Germany, Romania and Sweden). Additionally VPNs usage is widespread at all levels, even inside residential ISPs, and it is mandatory in many corporate environments. Of course nobody has a crystal ball to see the future, so we can't rule out completely an unprecedented attack against freedom of expression and right to privacy even inside the EU, we just can say that currently there are no apparent symptoms.Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
