Most, if not all, AipVPN servers are now shadowbanned on Twitch. You can log in as normal and messages in chat appear to send, but the messages are actually blocked. (This is easy to verify by reloading the stream and seeing if your sent messages remain in the chat history.) It used to be that only a few servers were shadowbanned, but in the last year or so it is now hard for to me to find any that are not.

I have found other reports online about this

I don't know if Twitch is intentionally targeting VPN servers or if users on these IPs have done malicious behavior. I could try contacting Twitch support, but I'm not sure if telling them "it's a VPN server" will convince them to unban. Is there any way AirVPN can address this?

Of course not. What people do behind the VPN servers isn't AirVPN's business. Likewise everyone offering services on the internet can decide what to do with certain users. :) Don't bother contacting them.

Fair enough. I suppose I was hoping AirVPN could change around the IP addresses or something when hitting the twitch.tv domain, but maybe something like that isn't feasible.

Actually, what I would really like is for Twitch to let logged-in accounts in good standing with a long reputation chat freely regardless of what IP they come from, but I doubt they would bother to implement this.

Such a thing is certainly possible using the Rerouting feature, but the primary use case for that is to be able to watch for example German TV while connected to non-Germany server, i.e. geoblock circumvention. It was also, or is still, used for services like Binance, but that's a special case due to very popular demand.
Even if such a thing is done for Twitch, the IP addresses of the rerouting server(s) will be added to the list in less than 24 hours after configuring the rerouting.. :D and there are only a handful of those servers. They're also quite small in comparison, most of them only having a 100 Mbit/s uplink.

Hrm, it certainly is possible. Reddit does this. But if Amazon needed to decide whether to protect the niche of users watching through a VPN (and by extension protect privacy or some such) or protect the streamers from abuse… I'll tell you this: VPN users are no money generators. They're a money sink, if anything.
