Tunngle port forwarding

Tunngle creates it's own adapter for setting up a VPN for game networks.

Can Tunngle be used in conjunction with AirVPN (OpenVPN specifically) either next to it (in terms of networks) or through it?

If the above doesn't pose problems then it is a question of port forwarding. Tunngle uses port ##### and needs 2-way communication - how do I set up my AirVPN remote forward rule and also my routers port forward rule?

I've tried this formula: [remote] -> [local] -> [my router] -> [same local] -> [my ip] without any luck.
