Sanctioner 3 Posted ... I am struggling getting connected. I get an error on the screen that says "connecting to ..." where in the logs it says "sent fatal ssl alert: bad certificate" this thread has the same error but does not seem to apply: https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/58289-openvpn-certificate-has-expired/?tab=comments#comment-231319 the vpn device was created 04/13/2025 in the client section. I am using Eddie, fresh downloaded today, so if there's a cert issue, i would think eddie would come with the new ones. since the device is only 5 months old, why would i be getting a cert error? I followed these steps precisely: Quote - Go to https://airvpn.org/ - Sign in - Select the "Client Area" tab - Under "VPN Devices" click the "Manage" button - Click the "Details" button - Click the "Renew" button - run Eddie - on Eddie's main window uncheck "Remember me" - log your account out - log your account in (you'll need to re-enter your AirVPN credentials) - try again a connection i verified i have the correct device selected in eddie, but i am still getting the same error. what else can i check? Very odd and hinting to a corrupt configuration file that somehow can not be updated properly. Try to delete it while Eddie is not running. In order to locate Eddie's configuration file please see here: https://eddie.website/support/data-path/ At the next run Eddie will create a new configuration file with default settings (you will need to re-enter your AirVPN account credentials). If the the current file is corrupt, this procedure will resolve the problem. Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
