Tech Jedi Alex 1491 Posted ... … how? You mean to tell me 2 years of VPN are just 30€? No Linux app, at least they provide guides for OpenVPN, Wireguard and StrongSwan. Server list is behind a login. From some of the screens in their Knowledge Base I determined Zenlayer (US), Eweka/BIP (NL) and 5G (AUS) as data centers. Big warning flag for me as a German: It's a Swiss provider from Zug, situated in German-speaking Switzerland, and yet here we are, looking at quite funny translations into German that really shouldn't be there on a website operated by people who can speak it (even if it is Swiss German ) : Look. It's supposed to be "0 hours, 26 minutes, 54 seconds", right? But "minutes" was translated to "Protokoll", a word for meeting notes. Then I'm supposed to "save 88/90%", right? But according to the translation I must save those 88/90% like I would save a file. The correct word would've been "sparen". Or do they mean I must "commit those savings to memory"?… Just two examples from the billing page. And in all the awareness campaigns in German businesses, people are trained to look at bad German translations as a red flag… The domain was registered in 2019 so they've been alive for around 5 years, and in 2021 the price was $4.99 a month for "hundreds of servers in 45 countries", which sounds okay, I think. They talked about a Linux app around the same time, but now there is no mention of it; looks like they abandoned it. Those 30€ for two years, though, fly straight into the unreasonable zone if you're having a server fleet of hundreds of servers in various countries. Probably not dedicated servers, then.
