Port Forwarding advice

Recommended Posts

Hi all.

I'm trying to achieve what I used to do before signing up to the service, and that is, forward a port to an internal system of mine. I'm struggling to figure out how to do this using the VPN. At present, my setup looks like this (simplified a little):

Internet ---> ADSL Modem (Bridge mode) ---> Router (pfSense with VPN client) ---> Server (on a 10.0.0.0/24 range)

Now, the server runs an app that listens on say 54321 (made up port). I have configured my Port Forward on the AirVPN page. I read that you should not need to add any NAT or Rule for the pfSense router, so how does the traffic on that port get to my server? It doesn't seem to work.

Please accept my apologies, I'm probably doing something really stupid here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

Tom.
