Often get disconnected Octantis then cannot reconnect

Recommended Posts

Unsure why this happens. I never could figure out how to set Comodo to all the entry IPs so I just have two, Octantis and some other one, maybe Librae. I know my Comodo and everything else is configured correctly because you guys helped me with that when I first joined.

Just uncertain why I keep getting disconnected at times; remember finding somewhere that there were problems with Octantis but uncertain if that is the reason. I need to renew soon but want to make sure there will still be US servers which work consistently.

Here's a log:

Hello!

We're sorry, it's an Octantis (and Vega) problem. They are becoming our... problem children. We are ready to dismiss them if the datacenter staff is not able to solve these problems very soon. The problem is that the datacenter loses connectivity for a couple of minutes. When this happens, all the accounts connected to Octantis and Vega are locked because the VPN servers can't tell whether a client disconnected. However we have a security system: if a backend server does not hear anything from a VPN server for 3 minutes, it releases all the accounts. Anyway this causes the annoyance that you can't connect to any server for 3 minutes after Octantis or Vega goes down. If this happens once in a while, it can be acceptable all in all, but lately the Vega and Octantis datacenters have issues almost every day.

We are watching closely Octantis and Vega. If the problems persist, we confirm you that we will dismiss them and replace them with different server(s) in different datacenter(s).

Kind regards
