eddie-cli: connected or not??

Recommended Posts

Posted ... (edited)

Took a few tries to get eddie-cli going on my headless server running Ubuntu 22.04 like this:

eddie-cli -config "/home/me/AirVPN_America_UDP-443-Entry3.ovpn" -login=xxxx@xxxx.com -password="xxxxxxxx" --connect --log.file.enabled

but several anomalies:

when I try to call the above inside a bash script upon bootup, it never succeeds, though I've marked the file as executable - I find I must kill eddie-cli and run the script manually

when I do so, the Client Area will show the device as connected - for several minutes apparently; within 5-10 minutes if I check again it will say it hasn't been connected for a few minutes. However the local logfile gives no indication of a status change - here's the end of the file:
