Emergency9 0 Posted ... Hi everyone, Recently I started using AirVPN, which almost instantly showed the following issue on Windows 10 using Eddie UI: After a fresh install I reboot my PC. After the reboot I can use AirVPN without any issues. When I am done using the VPN, I go to the bottom right corner of my screen and select AirVPN under 'show hidden icons'. I disconnect the service and wait for it to actually tell me it has disconnected, then I exit the app. The very next day, after I have booted my PC, AirVPN gets stuck on connecting. It just says 'connecting to' and after a while says Wireguard > Handshake Timeout. It will repeat this process until I tell AirVPN to stop trying. It already was annoying enough to have to reinstall the VPN completely (delete all leftover folders using third party software), but now I am noticing even reinstalling doesn't always help, and I have to do it a few times in a row. This way it's just not worth it to use the VPN. To anyone who reads this and has a potential fix, a tip even, feel free to share! Quote Share this post Link to post

Emergency9 0 Posted ... Alright so, for about the past week I have been testing this out and to my regret it doesn't work. Disabling Fast Startup hasn't fixed the issue, I still have to reinstall AirVPN after I used it. Quote Share this post Link to post
xmartymcflyx 7 Posted ... Try a few things: 1. Don't configure Eddie to start with the system. Start it manually after you log in and see if it automatically connects to any server. 2. If the previous doesn't work, try this: don't set Eddie to connect automatically on start up. After you start up your PC and log in and you see your network connection is working, only then start Eddie and hit Connect. 3. If the previous doesn't work, try this: after you log in, disconnect from your wifi network, re-connect to it, and only then start eddie and see if it connects to any server. 4. If the previous doesn't work, try this: download the official Wireguard app (from the links provided in this site), then download the wireguard configuration file for any server, and try using the official wireguard app to connect to the server. Let us know how it goes. Quote Share this post Link to post
