LAN connection won't work since Eddie installed

Hello. I have reinstalled Eddie and am able to connect with no problem. However, when Eddie is not running, or when I disconnect from the VPN and unlock the network in order to use a site that won't work via the VPN (there seem to be more and more of these), I am unable to connect to my Local Area Connection. 

The Network popup in Windows 7 shows an "Eddie 277" NIC that is supposedly not working, though I am connected via Eddie, and a Local Area Connection that is supposedly working, though it is not.
