Connection Issue

Recommended Posts

I have been using AirVPN with no issues until today. I have not changed anything on my computer or router so no reason for this to happen. I can log in to see the servers, but I cannot connect to them. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello!

It seems that you don't get a reply from Sirius. However we do not detect any problem with it, clients are connected and are connecting just fine on port 443 UDP and any other port. Can you please try to change connection port and also try connections to different servers?

Kind regards

Hello!

Apparently it is a problem on your end, all the VPN servers are up and running. Might there be anything blocking outbound port 443 UDP? What happens if you try connections to port 80 TCP and 53 UDP?

Kind regards

ok strange, I ran a test for the port:

Port

Status Protocol and Application

443

OPEN! https

http protocol over TLS/SSL

So according to what I can see, I can access the port no problem.

Hello!

That's 443 TCP, not 443 UDP.

What happens if you try connections to different ports, for example 80 TCP and 53 UDP (and yes, also 443 TCP)?

Kind regards

ok, how do I change it?

Hello!

Pick a server and before the connection please click on the "Modes" tab and select a port. Then click "Enter".

ok I tried this, on udp 80, udp 443 and tcp 80. Same issue exists, just hangs. I double checked my firewall and even turned it off, still same issue.

Hello!

Apparently something is blocking openvpn.exe packets (but not airvpn.exe, otherwise you would not even see the servers list). Do you have any antivirus or any other program running which might interfere? Is your system able to ping the servers IP addresses you're trying to connect to?

Kind regards

I can ping the IP of the servers. I do not have any antivirus on the system, and I turned the firewall off to make sure.
