ANSWERED Trying to port forward Jellyfin through AirVPN but it won't work

basically what the title says

I've tried forwarding local port 8096 through airvpn but it will never test as open, I have no idea what else to do.

It's nice that the title says what you want to do, but what it doesn't say is how you tried to do it. Jellyfin can be run as a Docker container behind a Gluetun, as seen in other threads. Depending on whether you're trying to host it via said Gluetun or natively, the questions to you will change, and with them the approach to help you.
Please take some time to learn about a few basic rules about asking for technical help next time. "It doesn't work" doesn't work for us.

Having written that, please provide more info. Your setup, what you tried to do already, etc.
