Lestrad 0 Posted ... Hello. Suddenly Eddie won't connect. I've tried multiple servers. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. I just tried updating to the latest version and uninstalling the Tap driver. Eddie UI says "Installing Tunnel Driver 0901", then says "an error occurred installing Tap driver." It tries reconnecting again and again and tries installing the Tap driver each time. Over and over again. Attached is a screen shot of the error messages. I tried manually installing the Tap driver (tap-windows-9.21.2), but no go. I had written to Tech Support, both online and via e-mail, about a week ago and have had no response. Below is my log. Any help would be appreciated - including help on how to get a response from Tech Support. __________________________________________________________________ . 2024.09.24 16:44:10 - Eddie version: 2.21.8 / windows_x64, System: Windows, Name: Windows 7 Ultimate, Version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1, Mono/.Net: v4.0.30319 . 2024.09.24 16:44:10 - Command line arguments (1): path="home" . 2024.09.24 16:44:11 - Reading options from C:\Users\Dad\AppData\Local\Eddie\default.profile . 2024.09.24 16:44:12 - OpenVPN - Version: 2.5.5 - OpenSSL 1.1.1l 24 Aug 2021, LZO 2.10 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\openvpn.exe) . 2024.09.24 16:44:12 - SSH - Version: plink 0.73 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\plink.exe) . 2024.09.24 16:44:12 - SSL - Version: stunnel 5.56 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\stunnel.exe) ! 2024.09.24 16:44:12 - Activation of Network Lock - Windows Filtering Platform I 2024.09.24 16:44:13 - Ready . 2024.09.24 16:44:15 - Collect information about AirVPN completed I 2024.09.24 16:44:15 - Session starting. Lestrad 0 Posted ... Thanks. I tried that. I wasn't sure it wasn't being re-checked by my profile, so I deleted that and set it to default just to be sure. But the same thing keeps happening - tries to install TAP, install fails. Repeats over and over. A DOS console pops up, but not long enough for me to read the message. I seem to catch the word "already", however. Quote Share this post Link to post
Lestrad 0 Posted ... DOS console was telling me "Adapter "Eddie" already exists (then the GUID). Reboot required." But I rebooted and still get the same. Quote Share this post Link to post

Lestrad 0 Posted ... It works! Thanks. Just for the record, my ticket with Tech Support has still not been responded to. My two-year package ends on Nov. 5. I'm not sure I'll re-up. In the past I've at least received responses to my requests for support. Quote Share this post Link to post

Many people reported in the past they usually receive an answer within 24 hours, most times in under a single digit. In any case, you've got the option of using these forums, too. And said forums solved your issue, I might add. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. USE TICKETS FOR PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT. We checked thoroughly and all of your tickets have been answered in an average time of 8 hours. All of them. EDIT: we want to add to make it clear to the readers and to be fair to the support team that your last ticket was replied to in 1 hour and 15 minutes.
