I purchased a subscription on Nov. 28 and after trying it out and not being happy with my download speeds I sent an email on Nov. 29 through the support link requesting a refund. After not receiving a reply from anyone I came back to the site today and I guess I must have misunderstood the TOS the first time cause I just read it again and realized that was not the proper way to ask for a refund. Apparently I was supposed to send a written letter to the address listed in the privacy notice? Am I out of luck now that the 3 day limit has passed? I haven't used the service at all since the first day.

An e-mail or a message through the "Contact us" form is enough (remember to include your login name and your payment details - on the contrary you don't need to provide any reason for your decision). Given the above conditions, your refund request is still eligible. However, we don't have any refund process in the queue, so most probably your message has NOT been received: please send it again at your earliest convenience.

I too am not happy with AIR VPN and it DOES say that it has to be written but no address is given. I feel it's kind of a scam. The service is pretty bad seeing how you have to wait for a response and never know if it's going to come. Once you purchase this you have to really be a bit techy to make it work. It's definitely not for the amateur user.  Any idea if the refund will really happen? I bought it yesterday and on the same day, I asked for a request.

What was your payment method? Refunds in cryptocurrency are typically extremely fast.

Because I am not across various Apple and Microsoft common problems and have not paid them for support information or "certification" I send "untechy" friends and neighbours etc to a "computer shop" business I recommend. I don't encourage them to "try things" and "do it themselves" and "get tips" as they typically create a maze of multiple problems.

If you run a car, it is "techy" to maintain and fix problems yourself, ditto for electrical problems in your house, you can do better by finding a decent mechanic or electrician.

Probably varies with where you live, but in my nearest rural city of 20000 there is an Apple specialist shop, and a couple of okay places for MS software and PC hardware problems, one has a well skilled guy who knows Linux as well and supports local small businesses.

First the address is clearly written, second you have never sent any refund request (not a ticket, not an e-mail), third you don't need to be "techy" unless with "techy" you mean someone capable to download a software from the Internet and using a mouse to click and double-click.

 

Go trolling somewhere else, we have no time to waste.

 

For the readers: we follow a no-questions-asked refund policy in the first three days. Our refunds are normally delivered within 2 working days (the law prescribes 30 days and we will never break this limit). Additionally (and obviously) you are protected by the EU legal framework on consumers protection for the remote purchase of goods or services, according to which you have the right to a refund within 30 days from the service delivery with a simple written request.
