Two new 10 Gbit/s servers available (NL)

Recommended Posts

Hello!

We're very glad to inform you that two new 10 Gbit/s servers located in Alblasserdam (the Netherlands) are available: Menkent and Piautos.

The AirVPN client will show automatically the new servers; if you use any other OpenVPN or WireGuard client you can generate all the files to access it through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator"). The server accepts connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 1194, 2018 UDP and TCP for OpenVPN and ports 1637, 47107 and 51820 UDP for WireGuard.

The servers support OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH, TLS 1.3, OpenVPN tls-crypt and WireGuard.

Full IPv6 support is included as well.

As usual no traffic limits, no logs, no discrimination on protocols and hardened security against various attacks with separate entry and exit-IP addresses and 4096 bit DH key not shared with any other VPN server.

You can check the status as usual in our real time servers monitor:
https://airvpn.org/servers/Menkent
https://airvpn.org/servers/Piautos

Do not hesitate to contact us for any information or issue.
Kind regards and datalove

Route trace to the new servers from my ISP.  Seems like a problem going from GTT to NTT network which is like hop 12-14.  Hop 12 is already in Amsterdam.

Finally!
Thanks AirVPN team.

Now we can enjoy browsing and breathe the real internet, without having to reCAPTCHA or being blocked most of the time as the majority of AirVPN ip address are flagged as malicious by malicious and fake security vendors :D
Well at least until Menkent and Piautos eventually are going to be flagged in the near future as malicious.

Perhaps block P2P/Torrent on some country based servers to be used for browsing the real internet only! But then again this us unlikely to happen due to no discrimination on protocols policies you enforce.

Security vendors flagged this IP address as malicious

No security vendor flagged this IP address as malicious
Menkent: Virustotal Link
Piautos: Virustotal Link

You're not afraid of the dark web, are you ?

yeah this is unfortunately just part and parcel with using a vpn, you are going to get into the scenario where nefarious people are doing nefarious things...

it annoys me too, i wish those people who do that stuff would leave or that airvpn would at least offer some server that is moderated to some degree. if you are someone whos technical, you can at least do something like selective / split routing and use your own VPS or a different provider which better moderates this kind of service abuse. Then you can route specific sites over that address rather than the other seamlessly. I do something similar in PFSense.

Of course its not perfect though, because you'll get some sites that use alternative domains embedded into the site and you don't really know if you changed that address over too without inspecting the network traffic and looking at the outbound calls.

Whats kind of funny too, is that i've noticed some tor nodes have better accessibility on sites than airvpn - but its likely those tor exit nodes are just newer and not flagged as much as the airvpn servers.

your point about it being torrent related I think is wrong though, I think these VPN nodes end up getting banned because idiots do stuff like credit card fraud, or ddosing from those servers rather than uploading some linux iso.
