ANSWERED Problem on Chromebook, certificate import not hardware-backed

Hi - I'm trying to set up the VPN on a chromebook using this guide https://airvpn.org/chromeos/

All seems fine except when I import the cert there is no indication of 'hardware-backed'.

When I try to connect to the VPN it gets stuck on 'Connecting ...'

Any pointers would be appreciated, thanks.

EDIT: after a while I get DNS lookup failed error

EDIT2: I've been using Eddie client on PC since 2012.

Just to help anyone else facing this issue (eg. with newer Chromebooks) there's now a guide for manually setting up the VPN using WireGuard as the provider: https://airvpn.org/chromeos/wireguard/

Worked for me.
