ANSWERED ios wireguard working, am i supposed to be using openvpn concurrently?

low knowledge user. new iphone, got wireguard working with instructions https://airvpn.org/ios/wireguard/appstore/
create from QR code. for better vpn protection should i have openvpn working with wireguard? or any other methods/apps/procedures i should install on iphone that simple non-tech should do?

part 2 is the same question for macos pc. right now i use only eddie 2.21.8. in Settings>Protocols i have Automatic checked. should i make other selection like "WireGuard? how would i know if my isp is "caps or blocks"?

i don't do anything except occasional torrent site.

Hello!

Your setup is fine. On your side you may either use WireGuard or OpenVPN. You can't use them at the same time on the same machine. In many cases WireGuard can provide higher performance especially on devices without AES-NI acceleration, such as your iPhone. WireGuard kernel module, which plays an important role to make WIreGuard faster than OpenVPN, is not available in macOS, so you may also compare in your Mac OpenVPN vs. WireGuard and pick the one which can provide the better performance.
