Argonous 0 Posted ... Hello all, I am new to AirVPN and am trying it out. Unfortunately, I cannot connect to any of the servers. When I try to connect through the Eddie client, it just connects (or tries) and disconnects. It will keep going down the server list, but nothing connects. Any clues on what is causing this and how to fi it? I have attached the log file, which hopefully helps. Thanks! Eddie_20231105_221823.txt Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 9973 Posted ... Hello! You have renewed your key in the last hours and maybe you forgot to force Eddie to update. Please try to uncheck "Remember me", log your account out, log your account in again. This procedure is necessary each time you renew your key(s) or create new ones, because Eddie does not download the new keys automatically, but only at each login. brainfister 0 Posted ... (edited) I have the same problem. Unchecking "remember me", logging out and in again didn't help (after that I also tried deleting the old device key and generating a new one). Installing an older eddie-version also didn't help (those don't have a login-field anymore and also no server-listings). Deactivating windows-firewall doesn't help either. Until I updated to version 2.21.8 everything worked. On my phone the app also works and the disconnect-issue doesn't occur. There are many threads in this forum (and on other sites) describing the same problem. I don't know what to try anymore. Staff 9973 Posted ... @brainfister Hello! In this case it's plausible that the configuration file is corrupt. Corruption of the configuration file is a very rare event: statistically, 1 out of 2500 users had this problem this year so far with 2.21.8 version, according to tickets and computing a ratio between those tickets and the average amount of paying customers, but it still happens, we're sorry. Delete the configuration file while Eddie is not running and check whether the problem gets resolved. How to locate the configuration file:https://eddie.website/support/data-path/ By default, its name is default.profile. If, after the above procedure, the problem is not resolved, then our suspect is wrong. Please open a ticket and pay attention not to hijack threads of other persons.
