20194 0 Posted ... Hello. I have been having a ton op trouble setting up the eddie-cli version, so I thought I'd reach out. I'm on Ubuntu Server. Right now, I can do: sudo eddie-cli -login=20194 -password=<deleted by staff> -connect -server=Xuange It works and I'm connected. I have two questions, One, How can I make it run in the background? Right now when I do that command, I cannot do anything else on the server until I press X to quit. And secondly, how can I make it start on boot? Thanks Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 10014 Posted ... Hello! For your purpose you can use screen or tmux - https://www.gnu.org/software/screen/ or https://www.howtogeek.com/671422/how-to-use-tmux-on-linux-and-why-its-better-than-screen/ They are both available in Ubuntu repositories. X Generation 1 Posted ... (edited) good morning, I tried this with Screen or Byobu on your Ubuntu server with Gui.. Eddi installed, set up, server connected, everything was great! 😉 The connection only breaks if you unplug Eddie or put it in the background... or is there an internal setting that I overlooked? (denon?) PS: You can set everything with the GuI, close it, then use the CLI, push it into the background with screen... it works so far, the VPN connection remains active, it doesn't break down. Only bit/s 😞 Current speed: 20 B/s download, 31 B/s upload Edited ... by X Generation Quote Share this post Link to post
