bidasci 3 Posted ... I have used SoftEther before as a VPN client and noticed it is significantly faster than OpenVPN. Has anyone used this before to connect to AirVPN? Thank you! Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... The SoftEther VPN client does support OpenVPN, as far as I know. I can even remember at least one thread where someone asked for advice on how to configure it for OpenVPN, but I can't find it anymore. If you mean the SoftEther protocol instead, it is not supported. So not sure about that significantly faster than OpenVPN. If you want something that is both supported and significantly faster for a number of people, please try Wireguard. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. bidasci 3 Posted ... Figured out you can clone a OpenVPN config to be used with SoftEther: https://www.vpnusers.com/viewtopic.php?t=3913 1 AlphaWeb reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Well, you can, but now that I see it, I think the problem people reported is that the SoftEther client didn't support certificates, and only operated using user/pass; this auth mode is not supported with AirVPN. 1 nexsteppe reacted to this Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER.
