ANSWERED Eddie Issues with Latest KDE Neon

Keeps freezing up for me since I upgraded my KDE Neon to the latest LTS version. Would use the Air VPN suite but don't want to get involved in a technical, non-GUI interface.

I figured out it was related to KDE Wallet. Once I disabled that, I seem fine. Therefore, a mod can delete this thread.

I believe there was no error related to Eddie and that the issue was related to not seeing the KDE Wallet popup, which needed to be addressed before Eddie would be responsive. I run this workstation at a higher scale than the 100% default, so sometimes such issues happen.

I suggest you dive a little deeper into it to unearth the real problem that is at the core of polkit's inability to show the auth dialog. Maybe it's because of the scaling, maybe the hiccup happens somewhere else. In any case, it's a classical description of a bug, if you ask me. Disabling the secrets storage of KDE can't possibly be a solution, unless you're not using KDE software at all (they'd be using kdewallet for secret storage). But that's for you to decide, of course.
