ANSWERED Halloween special prices: percentages are not correct

Recommended Posts

Posted ... (edited)

Hi, I saw the offer of 74% off AirVPN  3 years, but the advertised percentage is incorrect
For three years, 99 € reduced to 64.35 € is 35% off
74% off 99 € is 25.74 €

For two years 79 € reduced to 51.35 € is 35% off
69% off 79 € is 24.49 €

How can I get the 74% as advertised?

Hello!

All the percentages are computed against the standard 1 month plan, even when there is no special offer.

Kind regards

Well, I was saying in the past that it feels very deceptive to put a 74% label on it when the discounted price is based on a price no one ever pays when choosing a plan of >= 3 months of duration. I don't think you can label the three year plan as 74% discount now, when the regular pricing always was 99€ for that particular package; otherwise, the base price of 252€ must've been written next to it with proper formatting, at all times. But the regular pricing overview doesn't mention that it's a discounted price to begin with, so how come you use the price of 252€ as a base for calculation how much people save buying three years? People never pay 252€; they pay 99€ regularly (for that particular package).

Your discount events ever gave a 35% discount on regular pricing of all plans >= 3 months, and that's a fact which is not deceiving anyone. Labeling it based on 7€/month feels like a loophole or even illegal, but I'll be careful with such a conclusion. I'd like to look closer into this and use the opportunity to learn something I don't usually look into. Might be fun! :D

Instead of "Save up" to 74% --->> "Pay up" to 74% of the full price.
Eh well, I will not ask for a refund. After 10 years and counting....being with them :)

Thank you.  You may want to make that clearer on the selection screen.

Done. :)

Kind regards
