Eddie won't connect with Network Lock enabled

With network lock disabled, Eddie starts up fine, but once network lock has been enabled, it never connects, but keeps trying indefinitely. The logs state this:
Checking route IPv4
Checking route IPv6
Fetch url error:Timeout was reached

It did work before, however I had recently uninstalled eddie and reinstalled. Obviously I would like to use network lock, so what can I do?

I'd first reboot the whole machine, not shutdown+startup, then try again.

*facepalm* I had just rebooted multiple times (during uninstalling/reinstalling Eddie) and didn't even think to reboot yet again, but that worked. Thanks!

Not sure if irony or an additional reboot actually fixed the problem…
