Surfshark

I don't often post here, but did read this the other day in a story from the most excellent "The Register" website. Quote :

"For the rest of that night, prosecutors said, logs showed Sharp's personal IP alternating with a Surfshark exit node while making clone calls. Although it was not spelled out in the court filing, prosecutors appeared to be suggesting that Surfshark VPN was dropping out and revealing "the attacker's" true IP. "

Misleading quote. I first thought Surfshark cooperated with them and revealed his IP.
The article implies that the connection was unstable, and he didn't have any form of network lock/kill switch enabled. In the end, it was his own stupidity for not taking care of that and still go off into the world and bite the hand that fed him.

It doesn't happen with any of the AirVPN clients as all of them engage NetLock by default.

I quit Surfshark because I found the android app the be not quite reliable. Interesting to read that news now.

That was before I found AirVPN and I liked that they had Wireguard support and affordable prices (maybe too affordable and marketing driven..)
