ANSWERED issue with asus router using OpenVPN client

Recommended Posts

I am using an ASUS Router AX-U and when I import the OpenVPN config file it gives an error: vpnclient2: Get CA failed, when I try another OpenVPN config file I get another error: vpnclient1: Get Key failed

The router uses OpenVPN 2.4.11 arm-buildroot-linux-gnueabi

Can anyone please advise how to get this working? Following the 2015 [1] guide seems to not work anymore.

To answer my own question: I had to select the option to " Separate keys/certs from .ovpn file "

Then, I imported them as follows:

Import CA file: ca.crt

Client certificate: user.crt

Client key: user.key

Static key: ta.key

It connected okay, but couldn't get my wifi device to connect to internet so far.
