Greetings,

I am using Eddie vpn version 2.20.0

I am on windows 2019. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Eddie.
I have my network adapters Teamed on the server and they successfully connect to my manage switched, which is also set for LACP. My network connection is solid and works and even reports Internet access. This teamed adaptor does have a static ip address and dns configured on it.

When I connect up with Eddie and adapter called Local Area Connection - TAP - Windows Adapter V9 goes active. Eddie connects me up to my server and reports my new ip address. I can go to whatsmyip.org and it will reflect the address of where I am connected. I cand ping and do dns calls through the vpn dns.

However, it reports "No Internet Connect"

Now, obviously this is working, but it's not reporting correctly.

My concern is that something is misconfigured or bugged or just not working and the VPN may not be giving me all the protection it should be.

Any ideas about this? Cancel

Enable Network Lock and all shall be well, despite the connectivity indicator.

Will the network lock kick me out of an RDP session to the server? I seemed to get that impression when I clicked the button, so I didn't enable it yet.

this is not a pc I can sit down in front of, this is a server on my home rack with no keyboard, mouse or monitor regularly attached

If that server on your home rack is in the same subnet as the device you use to connect to it, then It shouldn't since local networks are exempt by default. But you can always check if the option is still enabled (Preferences > Network Lock > Allow private/LAN access).
