OpenSourcerer 1447 Posted ... Huh. This volume-based subscription model is quite different from the time-based model we know from all the other providers and therefore definitely caters to occasional rather than the always-on users. It's not designed for file sharing or streaming, more like those "I'm at the airport and want a quick tunnel for banking and mails" cases, in case the user is not an IT guy to know how to setup his/her own VPN. Good ToS, good Privacy Policy. Seems to be a solid, verifiable company in Estonia. I'm not saying it's good for privacy, just that both are well-written. Uses Wireguard by default. With "military-grade encryption". 🙄 Software closed source. Yellow flag. But dedicated clients for all major platforms exist. Linux client uses Electron for UI. Android client uses Facebook, Google, Huawei and OneSignal Analytics, so the PC software will probably have something like that, too. 3200+ servers in 50+ countries. That's some 60 servers in each country on average, but we can't check it because there is no overview. It opens up some questions. Only payment option on first glance is credit card via Stripe. Is this a startup or is there more in the personal account settings? But if it's a startup, how can they already have 3k servers and dedicated clients? As stated, it's not there for "hide me from my country" but rather "secure my connection from opportunists in the public WLAN network". Without the trackers it could've been a choice worth of a glance. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. USE TICKETS FOR PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT.
