share vpn to oculus quest 2 via wifi on macbook with big sur

Recommended Posts

TLDR: I want to share vpn to oculus quest 2 via wifi on macbook with big sur in order to play a fitness game which is restricted to the USA (I am in Romania now). How to do this?

I tried to do "internet sharing" in mac settings from wired to wi-fi, then using eddie app on my macbook to connect to USA server, with lock or without. If i do not use eddie, oculus get connected well; if i use eddie, internet goes away on oculus. What settings should I tweak to get it working?

Most guides on the internet, even from some VPN providers, suggest just that. macOS settings > Sharing > Internet Sharing: From the OpenVPN interface to Wi-Fi. Set some important wireless options behind the Wi-Fi Options button and save all that. Connect the Oculus to that wireless network and it should work.

In that list on the right. Should have "OpenVPN" or "Tun" or "Virtual Network" or something like that in the name.

Can you make a small screenshot of that list, please? I'm not familiar with macOS, don't know what to look out for.
