Running eddie remotely (ubuntu/raspberry pi)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have ubuntu 20.04 on my raspberry pi, which is on a different network. I can connect to the pi remotely but can't access eddie.

When i try to run:

 eddie-ui -cli -login=username -password=password
it converts part of my password into "ls" for some reason. Can I set up a profile in the /usr/lib/eddie-ui/default.profile location it gives to supply my info (probs better than using a plain text password)

Additionally, it would be neat to run eddie-ui non-cli and forward a port to connect to the gui remotely. Unsure if this is possible. Either way I get an X11 error since i'm running the pi headlessly.

Is there a good way I can run eddie remotely?

Thanks

That is not possible, no. But seeing as you're on a headless server, have you tried the AirVPN suite?
