00newen 0 Posted ... Hi friends. I'm having an issue with my wife regarding the eddie. I'm using it on my user and I'm fine with waiting for connection to servers and so on. But when she's in her user, internet many times stops working. This happens when computer is completely off, she turns it on, logs into her user and tries to check her email or browse to any page, No connection. at all. Then if I open the eddie in her user, sometimes it starts working then, and sometimes I have to actually connect to a server. I have already disabled the lock in settings so that it is not enabled by default. But this still happens. Another case is when the computer is sleeping, then she takes it, and again, tries to check her email or browse some site and there's no connection. Sometimes I've been using the computer first or she was the last one to use it. But the issue remains. I've tried searching here in the forum, but havent found another issue similar to this. Or the somewhat similar issues i've seen, the solution commented is to disable the lock. (which I have done already) My question si, Is there a way to do this? to have the eddie only operational when my user is on? Or is it just not doable? She's not interested in having the eddie at all, and it's only installed in the computer because I want to use it for my browsing and stuff. CheerS! Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Are you logging your user properly off? Because OpenVPN does not know a separation by user, it's a networking application. You need to properly stop the connection and probably close Eddie, too, if you're switching. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. 00newen 0 Posted ... I tried doing this once. quit the eddie, waited for it to close, even logged out my user and then my wife went to her user but there was no internet connection. I had to open the eddie for her in her user and then it worked. If I made a mistake and this is actually the way to go then this means I have to quit the Eddie every time i stop using the laptop (not knowing if it will be me or my wife using the laptop next). This is a bit annoying. Quote Share this post Link to post
