Eddie won't accept more than 1 IP in network lock exceptions

Recommended Posts

Long term Eddie user.  In the past I never had issues adding multiple IP addresses, but updated to 2.18.9 today and I can't add more than 1 IP address.   'Guide' says one address per line, but when I hit return it submits changes.  Shift+return highlights what has been written.

It has been years since I've had issues, so I'm a bit rusty with Eddie IPs.   Can I put a range?   I really just need to list a few local devices that are not on the same VLAN and a couple external addresses I want to allow through for VNC.  "Local traffic" option doesn't seem to be cover other VLANs..

Intel Mac - Big Sur (11.3)

Thanks!

Current version is 2.20. You might want to upgrade and see if that fixes it.

Yes.

Ugh, you're the first one ever to use VLANs. Not sure Eddie/OpenVPN supports that, or if it really is something Eddie/OpenVPN must support.

Thank you for your reply!

Can you give an example of a range?  The support doc says "Separate each address with a new line", but that isn't possible due to 'return' issue described in OP.  2.20 didn't resolve the issue.  Comma separation seems to work occaisonally.  Would an IP range of "192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.25" work?  I was hoping identifying an entire subnet such as 192.168.1.1/24 would work, but no luck.

Thanks again for your input.

Cannot reproduce with Eddie 2.20 and Mono 6.12.0 on Linux. I can enter new lines.

While the former describes a range in human-readable notation, there are few programs capable of parsing it, nmap being one example. The vast majority should work with CIDR notation. Strange that Eddie doesn't…

For your convenience, here's a complete list of IPs in the 192.168.1.0/24 range you can paste into the IPs allowed section:
