VPN Server on Raspberry behind AirVPN (Asus Router)

Recommended Posts

Hello,
I want to configure a VPN Server on my Raspberry to access my home network via Internet. The Raspberry device would be connected behind my Asus Router and the Router acts as a VPN Client with AirVPN.

Can I forward the needed VPN remote ports via AirVPN  and then via iptables on my Router to my Raspberry device and establish a "second" VPN connection with my Raspberry VPN?

Actually, that means I would have two connections via VPN at the same time. Does it also mean that I have doubled enrypted data package?  :)

Internet -> AirVPN DDNS -> Router (AirVPN Client) -> Raspberry VPN Server .

In general, does it work?

Thanks!

Should work in theory. Why don't you try it out instead? :)

I will try it but I also want be safe that there is security issue or vulnerability behind two VPN server. Technically, I am also interested if I am right with my assumption that the packages are doubled encrypted?

Technically, they're two connections which both are encrypted. :)
