Downloaded this program for the first time and after i press "connect to recommended server" and the "tunnel drivers" are installing, the process is aborted and this message apears: "VPN network adaptor not found: install fail (0901)". After three seconds it restarts, and the message reappears, over and over again.
What to do?

In Eddie's install directory there are tapctl.exe and tap-windows.exe. Try opening tap-windows.exe first and install the driver manually. If that didn't work, try opening a PowerShell/Command Prompt and type in this:

> ./tapctl.exe create

.

I am getting the same issue on Windows 7, it keeps installing new tap drivers until i cancel the connection to a server. When i open the device manager there is a yellow warning sign on the tap adapter icon most likely indicating that the driver isn't functioning correctly. I have tried to manually installing it with the tap-windows.exe fund in Eddie's install directory but it didn't work. Hope someone has a clue on how to fix this issue.

I do have exactly the same problem on Windows 7 : "cannot find Openvpn network adapter. install fail".
I tried to run tap-windows.exe, the app completed, but no change after that.

Any help ?

Here's some "help": Open your own thread, or at least show a notion that you read all the posts before yours. "I've got the same issue" posts don't help OP at all.

Well, reading all posts on this forum could be time consuming... But I have read all the posts on this thread, and found no solution.
Now, the good news is : I found one by myself.
In case it could help someone, here it is : I just installed windows updates, ( I omitted doing that for a long time, including .NET framework v. 4.xx),
Then, the required network adapter was installed without problem.
I guess older versions of .NET framework triggered the fail.
I wish this can be useful for other people, too.
