Woffel 0 Posted ... Eddie doesn't work anymore after changing provider Hello and good evening! I have been an Airvpn customer for over 3 years and used to use Eddie with Windows 7 without any problems. After changing the provider from Telekom to DNS.NET (FTTH from Berlin, Germany) Eddie no longer works. The connection to the servers is handled and connected downstream. Always negative. The Fritzbox 7530 is used as a router. Laptop is in the DMZ, no firewall works. The provider does not block ports on request. IPv6 is not attempted. And I think that is where the problem lies. I am very important about any help! Attached is the log. Thanks, Frank Eddie System/Environment Report - 30.10.2020 - 20:27 UTC Eddie version: 2.18.9 Eddie OS build: windows_x64 Eddie architecture: x64 OS type: Windows OS name: Windows 7 Professional OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 OS architecture: x64 Mono /.Net Framework: v4.0.30319 TUN driver: 0901: 9.24.5; wintun: 0.8 OpenVPN: 2.4.8 - OpenSSL 1.1.0l 10 Sep 2019, LZO 2.10 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\openvpn.exe) Hummingbird: () SSH: plink 0.67 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\plink.exe) SSL: stunnel 5.40 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\stunnel.exe) curl: 7.68.0 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\curl.exe) Profile path: C:\Users\PaPa\AppData\Local\Eddie\default.profile Data path: C:\Users\PaPa\AppData\Local\Eddie Application path: C:\Program Files\AirVPN Executable path: C:\Program Files\AirVPN\Eddie-UI.exe Command line arguments: (1 args) path="home" Network Lock Active: No Connected to VPN: No Detected DNS: 192.168.1.1 Test DNS IPv4: Ok Test DNS IPv6: Ok Test Ping IPv4: 27 ms Test Ping IPv6: 26 ms Test HTTP IPv4: Ok Test HTTP IPv6: Ok Test HTTPS: Ok ---------------------------- Important options not at defaults: login: (omissis) password: (omissis) remember: True ---------------------------- Logs: . 2020.10.30 21:15:28 - Eddie version: 2.18.9 / windows_x64, System: Windows, Name: Windows 7 Professional, Version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1, Mono/.Net: v4.0.30319 . 2020.10.30 21:15:28 - Command line arguments (1): path="home" . 2020.10.30 21:15:29 - Profile path: C:\Users\PaPa\AppData\Local\Eddie\default.profile . 2020.10.30 21:15:29 - Profile options not found, using defaults. . 2020.10.30 21:15:30 - Tun Driver - 0901: 9.24.5; wintun: 0.8 . 2020.10.30 21:15:30 - OpenVPN - Version: 2.4.8 - OpenSSL 1.1.0l 10 Sep 2019, LZO 2.10 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\openvpn.exe) . 2020.10.30 21:15:30 - SSH - Version: plink 0.67 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\plink.exe) . 2020.10.30 21:15:30 - SSL - Version: stunnel 5.40 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\stunnel.exe) . 2020.10.30 21:15:30 - curl - Version: 7.68.0 (C:\Program Files\AirVPN\curl.exe) I 2020.10.30 21:15:31 - Ready . 2020.10.30 21:15:32 - Collect information about AirVPN completed I 2020.10.30 21:15:48 - Checking login ... ! 2020.10.30 21:15:48 - Logged in. Disable/Uninstall the one you have and install a new one or let Eddie install a new one. 1 hour ago, Woffel said: The Fritzbox 7530 is used as a router. Laptop is in the DMZ, no firewall works. OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Oh no. It was not a dream. Anyway, the probability of the problem being the Fritz!Box is low. Follow Mr. Flx's steps and see if it solves this. You've also got wintun installed, but no OpenVPN/Eddie version capable of using it. You could try the wintun adapter, maybe that helps. Woffel 0 Posted ... Thank you for the answers. I uninstalled the TAP driver and also EDDIE. Reinstalled both. Unfortunately no success. EDDIE cannot establish a connection to any server. For a short time you can see the TAP windows adapter 9 in the network settings but without an internet connection. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? Am grateful for any help! Connect to the server without first connecting through your ISP. 2 hours ago, Woffel said: Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I can see you trying to connect over Wi-Fi on dns.net(Hetzner). Disable/Re-enable your Wi-Fi main adapter so Wi-Fi works. And disable that darn windows firewall for private/public. Woffel 0 Posted ... Thanks Flx The darn windows firewall is now down. I ve reenable the wifi adapter. But EDDIE dont work. The software stuck on the message: Checking route IPv4. Then it is canceled and a new server is selected and the game starts over. What about the settings? Change something just what? Thanks again for your effort. Quote Share this post Link to post

Woffel 0 Posted ... 3 hours ago, Flx said: Is your Wi-Fi working without VPN? Yes without any problems. 3 hours ago, Flx said: Do a short-search around the forum. You are not the only one that got this "Checking route" error. I searched the forum for various error messages. IPv4, tunnel driver, DNS block etc. Tried everything once. I was also able to establish a connection to a server once, but during the check I found that the trial download was not carried out via the VPN server but actually unprotected via the normal connection of the ISP. 3 hours ago, Flx said: @giganerd aka @OpenSourcerer is better schooled in "Eddie matters". By the way, I installed the software of other well-known VPN providers. Monthly account. What the hell. And what I can say: The VPN access works immediately without any problems. So it's definitely up to EDDIE. I wouldn't leave AIRVPN because of that. Many greetings, Woffel Quote Share this post Link to post

Woffel 0 Posted ... Thank you very much for your efforts. It didn't help at all because I can't establish a VPN connection with EDDIE. For whatever reason. I hereby give up and let my account expire. Sorry but there are many other VPN providers. It was a good time here but I will be gone. Don't be mad at me. I wish you all the best, stay healthy and protect the internet. Thanks says F.
