Is it safe to use RDP connection over AirVPN? Could my IP be exposed?

Recommended Posts

Dear community,
I would like to know if it is safe to connect from Linux using Remmina to a commercial RDP while connect to Eddie-AirVPN.
Let's make it easy... I start my laptop, then I start AirVPN client and after that I connect to a remote RDP commercial service using Remmina (or rdkestop).
Could my IP get exposed somehow? My main concern is the RDP company linking something to my real IP as they are an American company and I don't want DCMA problems. I use "Network lock" but I am not sure as with VM sometimes I saw there are problems so I prefer to ask before I mess something up.

Thank you for your time and very good service.

Excuse my poor English.
Kind regards.

Hi,

your Client-IP will not be expsed to the RDP-Server, however, keep in mind that the RDP Servers IP itself will be exposed and if you paid the rdp server with for example paypal they can still link the rdp server ip address to your paypal account.
