Question regarding the Eddie or OpenVPN GUI?.

Recommended Posts

I am running Eddie v 2.18.9 on my Windows 10 PC. Have used AirVPN for years now and I followed the instructions at these forums in regard to installing the Wintun 9.24.2 adapter which seriously improved my download speed from around 25-30Mbps to 120+Mbps and this still holds good after a couple of months. To install the Wintun adapter I first had to install the OpenVPN 2.5 git 1607 version and then I would be able to install the Wintun adapter. I did this and it has all worked great since then. When I open AirVPN I have the Eddie UI appear on my PC monitor as it always has but in my program list I also the entry for the OpenVPN 2.5 git 1607 and of course the entry for the Wintun 9.24.2 adapter.
I use a program called Sumo for telling me about program updates and recently it tells me that there is an update available  for the OpenVPN GUI from version 11.14.0.0 to version 11.15.0.0 but am unsure whether to install it or not as I am unsure whether this will cause a conflict or something with the Eddie GUI?.

That is the tap-adapter version. Wintun versions are either 0.6 or 0.8.

In my Local Area Connection for AirVPN it states, Wintun Userspace Tunnel although in my programs list it does state 9.24.2 adaptor. I know that I followed the instructions at the forums here on installing the Wintun adapter for Win10 to the letter and it all went as it should?.

Yes I can see you only have the Wintun adapter. This program Sumo first time I hear of it. You can also check here for OpenVPN 2.5 and choice version. -->>https://build.openvpn.net/downloads/snapshots/
