Eddie icon grayed out, won't open

I have a 2010 MacMini running High Sierra, and the Eddie client seems to download and install, but the icon in the dock is grayed out an won't open. It also doesn't appear in the apps folder. Any advice?

Until you get a better answer you can try running the cli version of eddie.
