This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.

:( Any ideas?

update: Just read the last sentence...."Eddie is currently released for Windows, Linux, OS X Mavericks and OS X Yosemite."  So.

Fast startup removed, it didnt help me.

I've got it running but only to splashscreen. I then have to click run!

On Ubuntu 18.04 the Gui has started to crash.  The actual VPN connection is still active because they are now separate from the Gui.   Problem is, when I restart the Gui I cannot change any settings as I get an error message saying that open vpn is still running.  Only solution for me is to restart my machine.  Is there a terminal command so that I can stop the CLI so that starting the GUI will work as intended?

i have an issue, too.
i'm running the latest eddie version on linux mint 19.3 cinnamon 64 bit  and have it configured to start without password when the system boots, to activate network lock and then automatically connect to a recommended server.
however, eddie gets stuck at the latency test. sometimes at three to go, today it was one. i waited some time and when i returned to my computer, it showed 101 to go but seemed to be stuck there, too.
when i cancel the process and hit "connect to recommended server", it goes back to latency tests. i have to cancel again and pick a server manually.

it seems that the issue miraculously resolved itself. don't know why, maybe some linux update, but everything is running again as it should.
